Spartanburg man receives 40-year prison sentence

A Spartanburg man received a 40-year prison sentence today for shooting a local woman to death and robbing two local teens at gunpoint.
Akello C. Jeter, 21, pleaded guilty earlier today to murder, 2 counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, 2 counts of armed robbery and 2 counts of kidnapping.
