Perry Bowens is a familiar face at Greer High School, as he has not only been the School Resource Officer (SRO) there for 22 years, but he was also a football coach there from 2002 to 2007. Though he wasn’t searching for a career as a police officer, the job ended up finding him.
 
Hadden first became interested in being a detention officer 10 years ago and finds his job very rewarding.

Doc Hadden is a detention officer for the City of Greer, drawn to the position after going through the Citizen’s Police Academy 10 years ago. Now, he uses his position as an opportunity to get to know inmates, treat them like human beings, and keep the community safe. 
 
Hubbard is new to the game––he started working with GFD right out of the academy last fall.

Michael Hubbard was once in the funeral business before finding himself pursuing the job he’d wanted for a long time. The community, he said, is his favorite part of working with GFD––sharing his time with people he loves.
