The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has announced this year’s Community Coats and Cops project has amounted to the purchase of over 600 coats for youth in the Greenville County School District.

Spartanburg County deputies are looking for an Inman man following an attempted murder Sunday morning.
According to an incident report, deputies responded to 975 Clark Rd. In Inman at around 10:30 a.m. in reference to a stabbing.
Upon arrival, deputies found a victim on the ground with multiple stab wounds.
A Greer High School student is facing charges after allegedly threatening another student with a dart on a school bus Monday afternoon.
Greer Police Department officials say they were notified by a Greenville County Schools administrator that an incident was taking place on a bus potentially involving a weapon.
Police are still looking for a suspect they say robbed a Dollar General in Taylors at gunpoint Monday morning.
The Greer Police Department will host its 29th annual Cops for Tots program on Saturday, Dec. 16.
The Cops for Tots program started in 1988 when officers with the Greer Police Department bought and delivered presents to one family in the Sunnyside Community.

Monday at approximately 7:15am, Deputies from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Dollar General, located at 401 Brush Creek Road in Taylors, in regards to an armed robbery.
Troopers: Driver charged with leaving scene of fatal accident
Troopers said an arrest has been made after a man was struck by a vehicle in his driveway early Saturday morning and died.

The City of Greer Fire Department Citizens Academy recently witnessed first-hand the difference a fire sprinkler can make in a home or business. Deputy Fire Chief Josh Holzheimer narrated the events that led to a room without sprinklers fully engulfed in flames in a demonstration trailer borrowed from Dorchester County.
