A Spartanburg man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for Murder as well as a 10 year prison sentence for Breach of Peace of a High and Aggravated Nature and a five year prison sentence for Possession of a Weapon During Commission of a Violent Crime to both run concurrently with each other and the 40 year Murder sentence.

Public Drunk
Reinald Vallejo, 43, of Greer has been charged with Public Drunk.

A Spartanburg man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature as well as a concurrent five years in prison for Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

The Greer Fire Department held its annual awards ceremony last week honoring many in the department.

Engineer of the Year
Derrick Davis

Around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, Greer Police Department was dispatched to a report of a robbery in the parking lot of Bradford Apartments.

Captain Patrick Fortenberry said the victims were located, and the suspects had fled the area during the incident. He said detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.

On Friday, Feb. 10, around 4 a.m., officers with the Greer Police Department responded to a residence on East Poinsett Street near 4th Street in response to gunshots being fired, according to an incident report.
