Brian Campbell is a Lieutenant at Tigerville Fire Department, where he has been for 10 years. His story begins in 1976 when he was three years old and washing engines in his home state of Delaware.

Around 2:40 p.m. on January 5, the Greer Police Department (GPD) was dispatched to the intersection of Moore Street and Able Street.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office (GCCO) also responded to the scene where a pedestrian had been struck by a train.

The decedent was identified as Randall Edward Palmer, 70, of Greer.

Tigerville Firefighter Johnathan Anderson started his journey in 1997 in Greenville County, and his love for serving the community has kept him in the fire service for 26 years. He’s been at the Tigerville FD for about six months.

No one was injured in this Bennett Street fire on New Year’s Day.

GFD responds to house fire

At 3:39 p.m. on January 1, Greer Fire Department responded to a house fire at 111 Bennett Street.

GFD was on the scene about four minutes after being alerted of the incident, where they worked to extinguish the fire. According to officials, the fire was under control about 20 minutes later.

Shots fired at QuikTrip

James William Ogle, 56, of Wellford, has been charged with pointing and presenting a firearm at a person, discharging a weapon within city limits, and unlawful carrying of a pistol following an incident at a Greer QuikTrip on Monday.

At 6:40 p.m., Greer Police officers responded to a disturbance at the QT on W. Wade Hampton Boulevard.
