The City of Greer Fire Department added a new custom ladder truck on Aug. 4.
The truck, built by Pierce Manufacturing in Wisconsin at a cost of just under $1.2 million, replaces the department’s 22-year-old ladder truck that was out of service for the past three years.

Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of 28 year-old, Donovan Lewis, who was last seen at Gregory Community Care, located at 2409 Fork Shoals Road, in Piedmont.
Lewis went missing between July 13th at 11 p.m. and July 14th at 6 a.m. from his court ordered facility.

The American Red Cross said its volunteers are assisting a family of six after their home was damaged by a fire on Sunday.
The Red Cross said the Taylors Fire Department was called to battle the fire on Hillbrook Road.
