Stryker, a 7-year-old K-9 that recently retired from the Greer Police Department, will remain with his handler.

During his career, Stryker provided “valuable and loyal” service to the Police Department, according to Resolution Number 15-2020 heard by Greer City Council during Tuesday’s regular April 28th meeting.

A motorcyclist was hit and killed last Friday near the intersection of W. Wade Hampton Boulevard and W. Poinsett Street.

The collision occurred shortly after 6 p.m., according to Greer Police.
