Byrnes scored 48 points in the first half of Friday night’s matchup with Nation Ford, building a lead that would prove very valuable during a 48-34 first-round playoff victory at Nixon Field.
The Rebels got going on their opening drive, as quarterback Lawrence Scott found Braylin Johnson in the end zone to give Byrnes a 7-0 lead.
