The Riverside baseball team was one inning away from a district championship.

With three outs to go in the seventh, the Warriors saw their 2-1 lead turn into a 5-2 deficit, ultimately falling to Blythewood after forcing a game two in the series.

“It’s just baseball,” head coach Michael Pettit said. “It’s what happens sometimes.
