JTG Daugherty Racing has selected 26-year-old McColl, South Carolina native, Justin Brooks to drive the No. 37 Chevrolet in the eNASCAR Heat Pro League.
The Yellow Jacket baseball team went 2-0 last week, earning wins over Berea and Woodmont.
Against the Bulldogs, Greer picked up a 6-4 region win as Ben Thornton pitched a complete game, striking out six for the Jackets. From the plate, Greer was led by Matthew Huff, Josh Fenton and Darius Griffin, who each had runs batted in.
The Byrnes softball team won three of four last week, splitting a series with Ashley Ridge before knocking off Fort Mill and Gaffney.
The Rebels remain one of the top teams in Class AAAAA, boasting a 15-2 overall record and a 7-1 mark in the region.
The Greer Centennial Lions Club will host a bass fishing tournament this Saturday, raising money for eye care and vision services in the Greer community.
The event, which is open to the public and sponsored by Greer CPW, will give the fishing community a chance to win $1,000 for the biggest fish, plus other top prizes.
A project that will bring new and improved athletic facilities to Greer High School is moving forward, following a Greenville County School board decision last week.
The North Greenville baseball team completed the sweep of the Southern Wesleyan last week, with 9-3 and 15-1 victories.
The Crusaders tallied 27 hits, only allowing a total of seven in the contest. Michael Giacone and Ethan Garner earned the wins on the mound.
