Rebel quarterback Shuler Bentley has known which college he would choose for several months now, but made it official on National Signing Day.
Bentley signed a letter of intent to play football for Old Dominion University in the fall.
Byrnes’ Shaedon Meadors will play his college football at Appalachian State University. The senior standout, who earned The Greer Citizen’s Player of the Year honors in his final season, made his decision final last week on National Signing Day. “It was just a lot of praying and a lot of thought,” Meadors said.
After a record-breaking season on the gridiron, Greer’s Quez Nesbitt will be looking to continue his football career at the next level.
The senior signed with Georgia Military College last week, and head coach Will Young said it was a huge step.
The Greer Middle boys’ basketball team made things right in the playoffs, avenging a couple of haunting losses in route to a county championship.
