NGU golf qualifies

The North Greenville men’s golf will play in the 2018 NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament this weekend at the Rock Barn Country Club in Hickory, North Carolina.

The Crusaders earned the automatic bid to the tournament after winning the Conference Carolinas tournament title over Limestone, Barton College, and Belmont Abbey.

Eastside and Greer will head into the Class AAAA postseason as the No. 1 seed and No. 3 seed respectively.

Jackets look to playoffs

The Yellow Jackets feel like they’re better than their third-place region finish, and they hope to show it in the first round of the Class AAAA playoffs against Greenville.

The Greer boys soccer team capped the regular season with a record of 11-6, improving from 9-8 in 2017.

The Lady Rebels capped a perfect region season last week with an 11-1 win over Dorman.

Byrnes earns top seed

The Rebel softball team went a perfect 8-0 in region play, securing a No. 1 seed in the Class AAAAA playoffs.

Byrnes will take on TL Hanna in first-round action Thursday evening, followed by a matchup with either Nation Ford or Laurens.

The Rebels are 24-1 on the season, only falling to Ashley Ridge in March.
