Greer will hit the road Friday in search of a victory against old rival Clinton High  in a non-region game at 7:30 p.m. at Wilder Stadium.

The last time Blue Ridge and Riverside met, it was a shootout.

The Warriors narrowly edged the Tigers on the road last season, pulling away for a 47-36 win. But with a new year comes new obstacles.

Jake Smith’s big night gave Blue Ridge the steam it needed to power past Landrum Friday, as the Tigers secured a 41-19 win at home.

Smith threw for 334 yards and five touchdowns, tossing three of those scores to Colby Johnson.
