It’s Christmas in August for Coach Will Young and his Greer High football coaching staff. They are hoping for a pleasant surprise when the wraps come off the 2016 Yellow Jackets on Friday in a 6 p.m. scrimmage with Gaffney at Dooley Field.
Football fans may not notice a huge difference under the lights on Friday nights, but the South Carolina High School League has taken on a new look entering the year.
Regions have been realigned and a new classification has been added, causing schedules to look a little different this fall.
