Blame Cannada

I’ve finally found a sport that is completely tailored to my athletic abilities.

No, it’s not baskeball, football, hockey or wrestling--although I would love to be good at any one of those sports.

I’m talking about is Spikeball.

Back at it again

After the first official week of high school football practice, I can’t help but be overcome with nostalgia.

I remember my first practice like it was yesterday.

Oh, Panama City, Florida.

What better way to rejuvenate your excitement for life than a week on the Gulf Coast?

That’s where I was last week at this time: sitting on my lawn chair pondering life’s tough questions…

How many rounds of putt putt can I squeeze in this week?

Where are we going to eat tonight?

Photos from Pluto

Last week the world was graced with a few, high-resolution “photos” of Pluto, courtesy of NASA. We may not have hovercrafts, jetpacks or floating skateboards like Marty McFly, but by golly we’ve got pictures of one of the most mysterious places in the universe.

Timed baseball

On Monday night, Major League Baseball got me to do something I didn’t think was possible anymore.

I actually watched the Home Run Derby.

Like the rest of baseball, this event peaked in the 1990s.

Summer of Spurs

Is it possible to win a championship before the season even starts?

If so, that’s what the Spurs just did.

In case you’ve somehow missed it, San Antonio is having one of the greatest NBA offseasons in recent memory.

Raining for days

You haven’t lived until you’ve spent four days camping in the pouring rain at a Christian music festival.

I’m just kidding.

Your life is perfectly fine without such a scenario.

Competitive kickball

You don’t know how competitive you truly are until you’ve participated in a church kickball game.

Over the weekend, I may have learned some things about myself that I’m not particularly proud of (and not particularly ashamed of, either).

The NBA atmosphere

If you don’t think the NBA playoffs are exciting, you might not have a pulse.

The first two games of the finals did not disappoint. So far, the series has been living up to the hype on the court, but more importantly, there seems to be a refreshing new excitement for the sport in general.
