A wintertime hike

As we walk the slick and narrow trail along Green Creek, we stop to take pictures of the smooth, frozen stones sticking up from the water, which flows under a thin crust of ice. Heavy rhododendron branches, hanging and dipping into the frigid water, accumulates so much ice in the bitterly cold air that they have become elegant sculptures.
