New show coming in March

The Greer Children’s Theatre is returning to the stage. Shows are scheduled for March 5-7 and March 11-13. Friday performances are at 7 p.m. while Saturday and Sunday shows at 2 p.m. State guidelines for COVID-19 will be in effect and restrict seating to 50 percent of capacity.

John James, born in 1832, built this home passed down to future generations.

To the Editor:

The red brick house at 1011 South Main Street has been a landmark in Greer, SC area since 1902.

The James family settled this area in 1791 along the Enoree River that is now known as Riverside.

John James, born 1832, purchased additional property on South Main around 1900.
