RHS debate team receives honor
The Riverside High Speech and Debate Team have been named one of the 2018 NSDA Schools of Outstanding Distinction by the National Speech and Debate Association.
Daily Bread Ministries launched the Lunch Buddies program to feed under served children during the summer on June 11.
Since then, the service has expanded to include meals for 310 children each week.
Students, whose second language is English, are getting some extra help this summer to prevent learning loss. Crestview Elementary is hosting a two week camp to allow those students to read, write and speak in English so they’ll be prepared for school in August.
A group of Clemson University food science students and recent graduates just returned from a national competition where they earned top honors for their wealth of dairy knowledge.
The Duke Energy Foundation has donated $100,000 to support the Greenville Alternative Teacher Education (GATE) program.
Area students graduate from Governor’s School
Seven Greenville County students have graduated from the SC Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM) in Hartsville recently.
