Hats off: Late last spring, District Five Schools hosted a districtwide fundraiser for the ‘Kidz in Lids’ project of Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas.Last week they presented the agency with a check for over $8,700 to help the families of children with cancer in the Upstate. In addition, Abner Creek Academy raised the most of any District Five school, and is now the Kidz in Lids record-breaking school.
