A native of Greer, Julie Holcombe is a 1993 graduate of Greer High School and 1997 graduate of the University of South Carolina, Spartanburg with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She has worked at The Greer Citizen for over 20 years as typesetter, graphic artist, and reporter. She has won multiple awards from the South Carolina Press Association for feature writing as well as editorial and advertising design. She is married to Scott Holcombe, a graduate of Blue Ridge High School and Greenville Technical College.
