Roles

Roles are important for knowing what we need to do.

In my life, I can see how I am much healthier when I recognize my roles and live accordingly.

As a wife, I am now under the authority of my husband.

I am very thankful for his leadership, strength, care and partnership in this journey of life.

Market

Markets around the world are adopting the free market concept.

In the free market, competition allows for the best to win, the worst to be replaced with something better and the mediocre to improve or disappear.

Supply and demand determine the cost of a product.

Construction

Greer is under construction.

As I drive from downtown to Wade Hampton Boulevard on a regular basis, I observe construction around the area.

Sossamon Construction is working right in front of our office while the Greer Commission of Public Works is doing utility work up Trade Street ahead of the streetscape.

Business

As I continue to explore the Upstate, my appreciation for small businesses grows with each new experience.

South Carolina, including Trade Street in Greer, is filled with hidden treasures in the form of restaurants, shops and more.

Training

Last week, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office invited local media outlets to participate in a Media Day Training.

Sgt. Shane Craig opened by discussing a county policy, highlighting the cycle everyone follows when encountered with any given situation.

Together

Many people make up this world.

Different races, personalities and talents provide for diversity which can lead to the development of new ideas.

Every individual has something to contribute.

Throughout history, groups of people have experienced persecution or oppression in one form or another.

Healthy living

Kaelyn Cashman's picture

Healthy living begins with eating well and staying active.

Most natural foods have nutritional value; though, everything in moderation is true where food is concerned.

An important rule of thumb is to eat in proportion to our daily physical activity.

New

A new year, month, week or day offers a much-needed fresh start.

The mundane of day-to-day life—sleeping, eating, working—can become routine, but the beginning of something new can bring renewed focus.

I have some lofty ideas, but a key to success is tangible goals.

Forgiveness

Kaelyn Cashman's picture

One of the most valuable lessons I have been reminded of during 2018 is the importance of forgiveness.

Without forgiveness, we are left with ruptured relationships, hurting hearts and devastated dreams.

Children

Children at Christmas are often filled with wonder.

This wonder can be contributed to a number of different things, but the most wonderful gift came at the birth of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
