He has experienced many, many hurricanes from category one to category five.
Buying a car makes me nervous.
At least with the car I drive now, I basically know what’s wrong and what works, but a different car is full of unknowns.
Nevertheless, buying cars is a fairly normal part of life here in the states.
Despite a new movie coming out this fall about humans being able to control the weather, we are currently unable to do so.
Hurricanes, tornadoes, tidal waves, hailstorms and the alignment of the sun and moon are beyond our control.
These manifestations of power come from a source other than ourselves.
Now, you may be thinking, what right do you have to talk about ‘good old days’?
But no one can deny how much has changed in the past couple of decades from technology to entertainment to society as a whole.
I grew up with Veggie Tales and Looney Tunes.
Good teachers make a real difference in the world.
While they may never see the full results of their tireless efforts, they may catch a glimpse every once in a while.
My mom is an excellent teacher–one of the best.
Of course, I am biased because she is my mom, but she has gained more than 20 years of experience.
