Snow Day

Waking up to snow blanketing the world outside brightens my day.

I enjoy watching fluffy, white flakes fall from the sky covering grass and trees and houses and vehicles and everything.

These specials days in South Carolina are treasured memories.

Mercy

This year, I’d like to reflect on the mercy of God.

Sunday morning, as I read from a Bible plan and journaled, I saw myself in the Pharisees.

Matthew 9:11-13 says, “And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, ‘Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?’

Everlasting Father

What a blessed Christmas weekend!

James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”

Friday evening, we spent Christmas Eve at Brad’s sister’s place with his family.

Mighty God

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ this year, let us remember the reason He came and imitate Him by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Wonderful Counselor

Isaiah 9:6 says, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Wonderful means inspiring delight, pleasure, or admiration; extremely good; marvelous.

Birthday blessings

Saturday, my parents came over to watch Luke, so my husband Brad and I could have a lunch date together.

We drove to downtown Greenville to one of our favorite hidden gems with Greek dishes.

The appetizers or small plates made for a delicious treat.

Milestones

Little Luke is growing so quickly and interacting with us more and more!

This past month, Luke has been much more aware of his surroundings, smiling at those who smile at him, including inanimate toys.

He is holding up his head like a champ and now sucking his thumb.

Testimony

Testimony

Around the age of six, I committed to follow Jesus Christ, and He has been faithful to keep me.

There have been many ups and downs.

Through family devotions and my parents’ examples, I recognized what Jesus had done by dying on the cross for my sins.

Mom life

Learning to be a mom has been filled with ups and downs.

In the midst of the exhaustion of sleepless nights, it is hard at times to focus, to remain calm and to treasure each moment.

Yet, it is amazing how much one can accomplish while sleep deprived.
