Brad and I celebrated his first Father’s Day weekend together.
Saturday, we shared a nice breakfast out and picked up lunch to go as we rested at home.
The next day, we had a busy Sunday.
My husband Brad and I got up early Saturday morning.
We drove to my parents’ yard sale in Anderson, arriving around 7:30 a.m., to help finish set up and manage the sale.
My sister was already there setting out boxes while an early bird browsed.
Brad and I were able to get away for a few hours on Saturday.
We joined my sister and her family, who book a cabin each year, as well as my parents at Table Rock.
Brad and I chatted with my sister, her husband, and four boys until my parents arrived shortly thereafter. Then, we divided up into two groups.
Preparing for a newborn can be daunting at times.
There are so many factors to consider with becoming primarily responsible for keeping another little human being alive.
So, I signed up my husband Brad and I for a free online workshop.
With Memorial Day coming this weekend and temperatures rising, I am longing to get to some water.
I love the ocean, lake, pool or anywhere to swim with limited crowds.
This year, my husband Brad and I may not make it to the beach for a few different reasons, but I am hopeful to get to a lake.
Keeping calm is easier said than done.
There are many things in the world today that are apt to raise the temperature of a room.
This past weekend, my husband Brad and I recognized my first Mother’s Day.
We shared a breakfast out that morning, attended service with my parents and took them out for lunch. Afterwards, we returned to our place for games.
Brad and I had our 21 week appointment Friday.
With a full anatomy scan, we found out we’re having a healthy, baby boy!
During our visit, the ultrasound showed him sucking his thumb and putting his arm behind his head like Brad does.
I was a thumb sucker when I was little.
I’ve always enjoyed baking.
When I was little, I would bake cookies with my mom, especially sugar cookies to paint with frosting before Christmas.
But my favorite is chocolate chip cookies.
My dad’s favorite is gingersnaps, and my mom’s is peanut butter cookies; my husband Brad really likes snickerdoodles.
As this little one grows inside, I am already beginning to treasure memories together.
My husband Brad read a book to the baby for the first time the other night.
One recent morning, before heading out early, Brad kissed me and then the baby bump.
