For his first foray into inventing, River Ridge fourth grade student Noah McKinney went big.

His invention, the “Medi-Dri-Line,” protects a broviac line, which hangs from a person’s chest, from getting wet while bathing. McKinney’s Medi-Dri-Line won the overall grand prize from the 2014 Duke Energy Invention Convention.
