Dave & Buster’s opened a new location on Woodruff Road Monday, drawing in thousands from around the Upstate.
This is the chain’s 73rd location, a 27,000-square-foot facility that features food, drinks, games and a sports bar sitting in Greenville’s Magnolia Park behind Hollywood 20 Cinemas.

Bailey Jo Phillips was crowned Teen Miss Greer 2015 in the Little Miss South Carolina’s (LMSC) Easley, Greer, Pickens County preliminary on Sunday, Nov. 2. Phillips was also crowned both overall queen and color photogenic. The LMSC teen category includes ages 16-19. Phillips, 16, is from Taylors and is a sophomore at Wade Hampton High School.
At 82 years old, Alma Parks Mills was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, a form of dementia that results in memory loss, cognitive changes, personality loss and an inability to reason and relate to others, according to the Center for Disease Control.
This week, Riverside High students will run, dance and play so that others may also. The school will host several student and community activities to raise money to support Camp Courage during Spirit Week 2014.
Weather postponed Olde Tyme Farm Day, but that didn’t stop hundreds of visitors from stopping by Vic and Gail Campbell’s Log Cabin Farms on Sunday to enjoy a taste of tradition.

Taylors resident John L. Thompson turned 81 last week, but it wasn’t your typical birthday party.
To celebrate, Thompson cranked out 81 push-ups, grinded through 81 chin-ups and completed an 81-mile bike ride to Lake Greenwood.
“It went well,” he said. “Got it done by about five o’clock, so not a bad day.”
