Thoughts on gun control

Gun control in this country seems to be at the forefront right now, and I have to admit, it’s there for me, too.

I can’t help but think about it when I get a daily media report everyday from the sheriff’s offices of Greenville and Spartanburg Counties. Usually listed within those reports: some act of violence involving a weapon.

Hollywild is my new favorite place. I know I’ve been there before, but I probably went to the Inman/ Wellford animal park on a school field trip as a youngster, and let’s face it, anything that gets a student out of class is a worthwhile trip.

So I bought a desk calendar the other day. I was pretty excited about it. These handy-dandy sheets of 31.8 percent recycled paper not only keep my schedule organized but it allows office citizens a chance to look at my calendar, see I have four lines filled up on a particular day and then subsequently leave me alone. It should work wonders.

Hello, Greer. My name is, well, you can see what my name is above. You don’t have to call me by that full name. You can call me Kenny. My wife thinks the full name sounds better in a byline. I tend to agree.
