Couple celebrates 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Wince Williams, Jr., of Greer, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 27.

The couple was married by the Rev. F.S. Jones at his home in Greenville on July 27, 1968.

They are the parents of four children: Vincent Gerald Williams, Victoria Ann Williams Johnson, Martin Luther Williams, and David Bernard Williams. They have five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many in-laws.

The couple was treated to a getaway by their children which ended with a “Surprise Dinner” on Sunday, July 29, that included family and friends.

Mr. Williams is employed as a bus driver for Greenville County Schools. Mrs. Williams, the former Betty Ann Webb, is a homemaker.

They are members of Maple Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Greer, where Mr. Williams is chairman of the Deacon Board.
