Sheppard - Genobles

Rebekka Lane Sheppard, of Blacksburg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Lane Sheppard, of Blacksburg, married Allen Blake Genobles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Regie Allen Genobles, during a May 11, 2019 ceremony at The Barn at Poplar Springs, in Moore. Rev. C. Vernon Craig officiated.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in an A-line ball gown embellished with light beading, cinched by a crystal belt. Complementing her ensemble, she wore a veil edged in crystals and carried soft pink roses amid white hydrangeas, which also decorated the venue.

The bridal attendants included Maura Sheppard, as her maid of honor and Brooke Crain, Lauren Harrison, Linda Benitez, and LeeAnn Maynor, as bridesmaids. Their bouquets of soft pink roses and white hydrangeas brought contrasting highlights to their floor-length gowns of black.

The groom’s attendants were his father as his best man, and Seth Crain, Justin Brown, Asheton Hinton and Daniel Harrison, as groomsmen.

A reception, also held at The Barn, offered guests a cake enhanced by piped roses along the bottom tier. The top tier featured a smooth design of white icing edged with pink ribbon.

The parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at River Falls Plantation Clubhouse following the wedding rehearsal on May 10.

The former Miss Sheppard is the granddaughter of Ms. Ina K. Willis, of Blacksburg. She is a graduate of Blacksburg High School.

The groom is the grandson of Ms. Norma Hinton Lamm, of Lyman, and Mr. Homer H. Genobles, of Greer. He is a graduate of Blue Ridge High School.

Wedding music included “I Get To Love You” by Ruelle as the processional, and “For Once In My Life” by David Craig as the recessional.

The wedding party entered the church to “What A Wonderful Life.”

“When I Say I Do” by Matthew West was included in the Unity Ceremony.

The couple is residing in Greer.
