Mr. and Mrs. Tim Wells, of Landrum, announce the engagement of their daughter, McKenzie Briana Wells, to William Norman Gribble, III, son of Mark and Deborah Sabol, of St. Augustine, Fla., and Bill and Judy Gribble, of Clearwater, Fla.

Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Arrowood, of Greer, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014.

Bruce and Pat have two children, Jay (Lisa) and John (Julie), and four grandchildren (AJ, Jake, Kate and Capp).

Mr. and Mrs. David Owens, 504 Copeland Road, Greer, announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Smith Owens, to Brett Michael Claycamp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Radlein and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Claycamp, of 321 Juniper Leaf Way, Greer.

They will be married June 21, 2014 at Memorial United Methodist Church in Greer.

Mr. Vann Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Suddreth, all of Florence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Vanessa Elizabeth Smith, to Graham Andrew Vernon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Vernon, of Greer.

Christie Lynn Crain became the bride of A.J. Abbott during a December 14, 2013, ceremony  at The Ryan Nicholas Inn conducted by  the Rev. Travis Dix.   

The 5:30 p.m.  ceremony was followed by a reception at the Inn hosted by the parents of the bride.

 Arline M. Bruce, of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Brian C. Walker, of Plainwell, Michigan, were united in marriage  on December  11, 2013, in Taylors, South Carolina.  Robbin R. Garrison officiated at the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.  

Robert and Virginia Brannon, of 102 Rhett St., Greer,  will celebrate their  55th wedding anniversary on Dec. 19, 2013.

Mr. and Mrs. Lecil Casey, Jr., of 934 Cogin Drive, Greer, announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Irene Casey, to Kevin Hunter Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Jackson, of 808 Butter Street, Landrum.

Miss Casey is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ellen Perry, the late Fred Perry, and the late Lecil and Blanche Casey, Sr.
