Sheriff’s office looks for suspect
Violent crime investigators with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to identify a suspect who they believe is responsible for three armed robberies over the weekend. The first incident occurred Saturday around 8:45 p.m. at the Dollar General at 1949 Hayne St. The second incident occurred Sunday at 8:20 p.m. at the Lil Cricket at 9075 Fairforest Rd., and the third incident was also Sunday at 8:30 p.m. at the Lil Cricket at 640 New Cut Rd. The suspect’s clothing and actions were similar in all three incidents, but efforts to identify him since the incidents have been unsuccessful. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5 foot 8 inches in height, 145-155 pounds, with a dark sweater shirt with half zipper, dark beanie style hat and dark jeans.. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and if their information leads to suspect’s identity and/or arrest, they will be eligible for a cash reward.
