Memphis Fresh hosted a Summer Market at Aurora Farms in Taylors on Sunday. More than 30 vendors offered local, small business wares outside, while wedding festival vendors set up inside. Aurora Farms is located at 1045 Milford Church Road in Taylors.
Taylors Fire and Sewer District recently passed a tax increase for all taxpayers within the district.
The increase was due to increased personnel costs, safety, maintenance, general insurance, occupancy, lease payment, reserves, and capital expenditures.

On Saturday night, a suspect was taken into custody after a shooting occurred at Culpepper Landing Apartments in Duncan.
Byrnes High School graduate and football player, Rashard Sharquavious Wright, was killed as a result of the shooting.
