Memories of D&D Motors’ involvement in the Big Thursday barbecue lunch date back to at least 1993, according to Richard Medlock, a salesman at the Ford dealership for 16 years.
Medlock, as well as many other employees, worked the serving line and helped keep customers happy in the dining room.
Vietnam Veteran Bob Starliper, Commander of American Legion Post 115 in Greer, is making a push to recruit new members.
Starliper said Post 115 has always included World War II and Korean War veterans, but said it is important to bring in younger members as well.
