A 110-room hotel could soon be on its way to downtown Greer.
The city has been in discussions with a developer regarding what is being called “Project Kaboom.” An ordinance regarding the project was on council’s agenda Tuesday night, but a decision was not available at press time.

Politis wins first place in Greer Treasure Hunt

Greer resident Anne Politis won the $100 first place prize in the Greer Treasure Hunt that wrapped up Sept. 16 and then donated the money back to the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd restoration fund, bringing the amount raised to more than $500.
