A Lyman man will serve life in prison without parole today after he admitted to stabbing a woman to death and kidnapping her four-year-old daughter.
Justin P. Paris, 35, pleaded guilty to murder, kidnapping and armed robbery after authorities say he repeatedly stabbed 38-year-old Amie Cordova on April 14, 2015.

Operation Dry Baby
Bottoms kicked off
Operation Dry Baby Bottoms is a month diaper drive to collect 1,000,000 diapers for Upstate babies and families being affected by Diaper Need.
Diaper Need is the inadequate supply of diapers to keep a baby clean, dry and health.
The Club also selected the yard of Jeri Culpepper at Foxfield Way for the September Residential Yard of the Month.

The 11th annual Benson OctoberFAST benefiting Greer Community Ministries (GCM) is Saturday, Oct. 14, at Greer First Baptist Church.
The event features a 5K run/walk at 8 a.m. and a Classic Car Show hosted by the S. C. Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) from noon to 4 p.m.
