A local traffic study has been completed, following a resident’s request.

The initial request came last June when Mack Holliday and his wife brought a list of signatures from neighbors to close Hillside Drive where the road intersects with O’Neal.

As the Community Master Plan moves forward, Greer officials are considering some major changes on Trade Street.

The city has been working with consulting firm Kimley-Horn and Associates to map out a plan to make downtown Greer a more attractive destination. That plan could include resurfacing streets leading to downtown businesses.

Trinity Fellowship Church will be hosting its 10th annual Care Fair on April 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event, which is free to the community, is an opportunity for emergency personnel to showcase their services and provide important information.

The Blue Ridge Lions club recently welcomed new members.

Becky Bagwell, sponsored by Paula Crane, was inducted into the club.

President Jim Barbare presented Bagwell with her membership certificate, and Crane received a sponsorship certificate.
