ALDI will open another location in Spartanburg on Thursday, March 16 at 150 E. Blackstock Road, Suite B.
This will be Spartanburg’s second ALDI location. The grocery chain has more than 1,600 stores in 35 states, serving more than 40 million customers each month.
Longtime Greer resident and volunteer Bruce Taylor passed away this week at the age of 94.

Wellford Police Chief Tim Alexander resigned in mid-February, citing personal reasons, according to city officials.

Inman resident Justin Ashley Bott, 45, has been arrested and charged in connection with a bank robbery that occurred in Lyman last Wednesday.
According to a Lyman Police incident report, Bott entered First Citizens Bank, located at 104 Edgewood St., wearing a black ski mask and demanding money.

Blue Ridge Middle School students are helping the Lions Club meet eye care needs in the community. Last week, students colored a large poster during their lunch break for a small donation. Upon completion, the grades participating were permitted one day to wear jeans and tee shirts to school.
