Local non-profit hires two

The Care Coordination Institute (CCI), a Greenville-based non-profit, added two new members to its team recently. John Supra was hired as executive director of operations and Nancy Markle will serve as vice president of clinical operations.

Duncan faces lawsuit

John Oliver, father of 24-year-old Rebecca Lynn Oliver, who was fatally shot by a Duncan Police Officer in March last year, recently filed a lawsuit alleging excessive force was used during the incident, “despite never being in jeopardy of serious bodily harm or death.”

International festivities return to City Park Saturday.

The City of Greer’s International Festival returns for a second year this weekend.

The event, which runs from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Saturday, is expected to see a large turnout featuring a number of different cultures.
