The Kiwanis Club of Greer (Carolinas District Division 22) named new officers at the Sept. 25 meeting. Lt. Gov. John Helfrich insalled Steve Blackwell as president, Ron Spradlin as vice president and Charmaine Helfrich as secretary and interim treasurer.

Needs donations
Due to a lack of supplies, God’s pantry, a nonprofit established in 2002 currently serving about 345 families, was forced to close all 13 of its pantry sites recently. God’s pantry is in need of volunteers and nonperishable food items.
Wild Ace Pizza & Pub broke ground on a new facility in downtown Greer last week.
The restaurant, which has occupied its location at 109 Trade Street for six years, expects to open its doors at 103 Depot St. in the spring.
