Greer Relief’s seventh annual Care Fair through Helping Hands will take place Saturday, April 26 at 3610 Brushy Creek Road, from 10 a.m.-noon. The fair provides free services and information to low-income families.
Officials are in need of 70 volunteers for the upcoming Pelham Medical Center Greer Family Fest.
Volunteers are needed in ticket booths on Saturday, May 3 at any of the following shifts: 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 1-4 p.m., 4-7 p.m. and 7-10 p.m.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

The City of Greer is considering passing an ordinance to ban texting, emailing and the use of electronic media when driving. Drivers, however, will still be permitted to talk on cellphones.
