Good food and live auctions came together last Friday night for Greer Relief’s annual gala, raising thousands for needy residents in the community.

A disturbance call on March 4 in Duncan resulted in the death of 24-year-old Rebecca Lynn Oliver, of Campobello.

The call came in at 10:19 a.m. for a disturbance behind Value Place, near the Interstate 85 and Highway 290 corridor.

Duncan Town Council members passed the first reading of an amended business license ordinance that will require owners of rental properties to obtain business licenses, register their contact information with the city and pay fees based on the number of rental units.
