Betty J. Elder

Betty Joyce Holloway Elder, 82, died June 26, 2015, at Greer Memorial Hospital.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Clifford and Sue Brown Holloway, she was a retired employee of Upstate Dialysis and a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Robert Leon Elder of the home; three daughters, Teresa Anne Brett (David) of Magnolia, Texas, Sheila E. Ray (Markham) of Peachtree Corners, Georgia and Angela E. Perry (Richard) of Johns Creek, Georgia; one brother, Tommy Holloway of Toccoa, Georgia; one sister, Geraldine Parrish of Inman; six grandchildren, Jeremy Brett (Kaylee), Christopher Brett (Keely), Michael Ray, Daniel Ray, Joshua Perry and Noah Perry and two great-grandchildren, Tiffany Brett and Everly Brett.

Mrs. Elder was predeceased by one brother, Gary Holloway and one sister, Debbie Fricks.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Dr. Ralph Carter.  Burial followed in Mountain View Cemetery.

Visitation was held noon-1:45 p.m. Monday at Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
