Betty Jean Poole

Betty Jean Poole, 84, of Greer, SC,  peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 28, 2022 with her family at her side. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ethel Reese, born in Greer, SC, on December 12, 1937.

Betty is survived by her husband of 66 years, Paul H. Poole; daughter Deana P. Dillard (Tom); grandchildren, Matthew T. Dillard (Liza), James  A. Dillard ( Haley), and Rebecca  A. Dillard (Noah Hayes); and great-grandchild Austin Dillard.

She is preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.

Betty was retired from her years of work to enjoy spending time at home with her husband. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother (Nana), and great grandmother that loved spending time with her family and sharing her contagious smile. She loved to share her joy of life with everyone. She will forever be in the hearts of the family and friends she left behind but she will never be forgotten. She taught her family the great faith in our Lord and Savior and the love of family to continue her legacy.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 13, at Victor Methodist Church, Greer, SC officiated by Reverend Debra Pisor. Receiving of friends will be held immediately prior at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.

The family would like to express our thanks to Reverend Debra Pisor for her support and love during this time and to the McCall Hospice House for the excellent and compassionate care of our wife, mom, and nana.

She is in Heaven now celebrating her time on earth with us and her eternal life with our Lord and Savior. We will meet again one day with a great celebration.
