Betty Jean Slatton

Betty Jean Whitman Slatton, 82, passed away on April 8, 2017 at her home.
A native of Greer, daughter of the late Leroy and Myrtle Britton Whitman, she was a housewife and a member of Peoples Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Robert E. Lee Slatton of the home; two daughters, Barbara Ann Harley (Bobby) and Gayle Allen all of Greer; two sons, Jerry Robert Slatton and Daniel Scott Slatton both of Greer; one brother, Willis Whitman of Greer; five grandchildren, Scott Austin, Chad Austin, Bruce Harvey, Amy Charping and Ethan Slatton and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Slatton was predeceased by one daughter, Sylvia Jean Slatton.
Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 at Mountain View Cemetery conducted by Rev. Larry Padgett.
Pallbearers were Lamar Whitman, Anthony Burrell, Danny Ray Willis, Bobby Harley, Alvin Charping, Scott Austin and Kenneth Willis.
The family is at the home of the daughter, Barbara Harley.
