Bonnie R. Vaughan

Bonnie Ruth Vaughan, 76, of Greer, South Carolina, died peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, October 1, 2023, after being ill for several years.
Born in Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania, on December 5, 1946, daughter of the late Simon Curtis and Ruth Foreman Rightenour, she was a member of Finleyville Baptist Church and of the Protestant faith.
Her faith was immeasurable, and she loved Jesus with her whole heart. Despite all the hardship in her life, her relationship with Jesus was an inspirational testimony of her faith. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family and granddaughters, bowling, puzzles, being outdoors, and was an avid reader. Ms. Vaughan devoted her life to her two children. She was a Sunday School teacher, PTA volunteer, classroom assistant, and involved in all their activities. After they were grown, she worked as an administrative assistant for Cove Shoe Company, Pennsylvania and Kraft General Foods, Virginia. She will be deeply missed.
Surviving are her children, Jesse Mellott and Brenda D. Muntean (Dorin) both of Greer, South Carolina; and one granddaughter, Julia Muntean of New York City, New York.
Ms. Vaughan was predeceased by one granddaughter, Isabella “Bella” Grace Muntean; four brothers, Clifford Rightenour, Richard Rightenour, Lloyd Rightenour, and Jack Foreman; and two sisters, Lorraine Donelli and Darlene Witt.
A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Covenant Church, Greer, South Carolina conducted by Pastor Darren Hook and Pastor Linda Guthrie.
The family will be at their respective homes.
