Carroll Eugene 'Gene' Fowler

Carroll Eugene “Gene” Fowler, 69, passed away November 22, 2021.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of Arthur Carroll and Frances Lockhart Fowler, he was a retired truck driver from YRC and a member of Washington Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Katherine Plemmons Fowler of the home; one daughter, Elizabeth Smith (Dale Smith) of Greer; one son, Zachary Fowler of Greer; one sister, Melinda Fowler of Greer; two grandchildren, Jinnise Smith and D.J. Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fowler was predeceased by one brother, Nathan Fowler.

A memorial service was held 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Washington Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Drew Hines and Rev. Trent Henson.

Visitation was held 12:30-1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
