Chris Strange

Christopher “Chris” Herman Strange, 64, passed away December 31, 2021.

A native of Greenville County, the son of Joyce Center Strange and the late Charles Leon Strange; he was a Clemson University graduate, former employee of Cryovac Sealed Air, member and former Deacon of Highland Baptist Church and a loving husband, father and grandfather. At the time of his passing, he was proudly continuing his father’s legacy as owner and operator of Strange’s Garage.

Surviving are his wife, Monique Southard Strange of the home; one son, Ryan Strange and his wife, Kristen, of Greer; one sister, Karen Barbare of Landrum; two grandchildren, Charlie Strange and Thomas Strange; two nephews, Nick Barbare and his wife, Amy, and Seth Barbare and his wife, Abby; and three great nieces and nephews, Kaelynn, Aiden and Addie.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Highland Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Alex Kingsbury. Burial will follow in Highland Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 1-2:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Deacons and former Deacons of Highland Baptist Church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
