Clarence 'Bab' Lynn

Clarence Thomas “Bab” Lynn, 91, husband of the late Ruth Plumley Lynn, passed away August 20, 2023.

A native of Greer, son of the late Eugene Clarence and Emily Owens Lynn, he served in the U.S. Army National Guard, was the owner and operator of Hillcrest Power Equipment, and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping and traveling.

Surviving are a daughter, Janet Painter (Brian) of Taylors; a son, John Lynn (Debra) of Greer; one sister, Sara Eanes; a granddaughter, Emily Painter Hopper (Brad); and two great-grandchildren, Thomas Hopper and Katy Grace Hopper.

He was predeceased by a brother, Ben Lynn, and one sister, Dorothy Hudson.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Drew Hines and Dr. Gene Lockaby. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 9:45-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

The family is at the home.
