Dan Lee Collier, age 87, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday March 10, 2021 with his family surrounding him.

Dan was born in Taylors, S.C. on May 9, 1933 to the late George and Pauline Collier. Dan attended Taylors High School going directly into the Navy, stationed at Washington D.C. as a ceremonial guard for Presidents and Dignitaries at Arlington National Cemetery, finishing his collegiate career at Rutledge College. 

He then worked as a Tool and Die fabricator going on to owning his own fertilize company. While being a hardworking man and entrepreneur, he was a man of many talents–one being an incredibly talented artist. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Leah Collier of the home; his three children and two sons-in-law, Danielle and Bill Davis, Andrea and Tommy Culpepper, and Daniel Collier all of Taylors; his five grandchildren and spouses, David and Caralee Culpepper, Mark and Ashton Culpepper, Angie and Kevin Johnston, Alexandra Davis, and Anna Davis; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Greer Church of God, conducted by Rev. Richard Porterfield and Pastor Tommy Brown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be David Culpepper, Mark Culpepper, Kevin Johnston, David McClain, Dale Fields and Dan Fields.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday at the church.

The body will lie in state 1-7 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2021 at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
