Dewey Tarwater

Dewey F. Tarwater, 78, passed away November 8, 2022.

Born November 3, 1944, to the late Don Tarwater and Margaret McKnight Sewell, he was a graduate of Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, where he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi. He was involved in sales in Dallas prior to moving to Greenville. Dewey served on the Greer Planning and Zoning Appeals Board as well as the GSP Airport Environs Board.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Schamm Tarwater of the home; two sisters, Betty York of Tampa, Florida and Judy Reid of Richmond, Texas; brother-in-law, Andrew Ford of Richmond, Texas; and beloved nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one sister, Donna Monthan, and a brother, Ernest Tarwater.
